Service Description

Join us for a unique six session Dungeons & Dragons workshop designed specifically for autistic NDIS participants aged 14+ who enjoy creativity, gaming, storytelling and making new friends. This beginner friendly program uses the world of Dungeons & Dragons to help participants build confidence, develop social connections and express their creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment. No previous Dungeons & Dragons experience is required. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn how the game works, create their own unique characters, design enemies and backstories, build fantasy worlds and maps, and develop their own adventures. Participants will also work alongside a professional artist who will help bring their character ideas to life through a custom artwork. The workshop includes: Session 1: Learning the Basics Introduction to Dungeons & Dragons, gameplay mechanics, character sheets, dice rolling and roleplay fundamentals. Session 2: Character Creation Create unique characters, enemies, personalities and backstories while working with a professional character artist to bring ideas to life visually. Session 3: Become a Dungeon Master Learn storytelling, encounter design, campaign development and the skills required to run player adventures. Session 4: Build Your World Design fantasy maps, create locations and characters, make custom dice and participate in creative worldbuilding activities. Session 5: Your First Adventure Take part in a guided Dungeons & Dragons campaign featuring teamwork, roleplay, exploration and combat. Session 6: Graduation Campaign Bring everything together in a complete adventure experience using the skills, characters and stories developed throughout the workshop. Participants will build communication, teamwork, creativity and problem solving skills through structured roleplay and collaborative activities. They will create their own characters, stories, maps and custom dice while exploring a fun and supportive environment. Designed for both complete beginners and existing Dungeons & Dragons fans, the workshop provides an opportunity to build confidence, develop meaningful social connections and explore creativity alongside like minded peers.
