Social Group Swing City Outing

Our friendship group had a fantastic day out together filled with laughs, flexibility and great conversations.

We started the morning at a local café where everyone relaxed, enjoyed their drinks and played some card games together while chatting about the plans for the day. It was such a calm and positive way to start the outing and everyone really enjoyed spending time together socially.

After that, we headed to Birdie Bros in Castle Hill for some golf fun, however when we arrived we realised they had altered trading hours that we hadn’t accounted for. While situations like this can sometimes be disappointing, I was honestly so proud of the group for the way they handled it. Instead of letting it ruin the day, everyone worked together to think of other options nearby that they would enjoy doing.

The group decided on Swing City in Bella Vista; a place they know and love. It ended up being an amazing choice! Everyone had a blast practicing their swings, encouraging each other and having plenty of laughs along the way. It was such a good example of resilience, problem solving and being able to adapt when plans change unexpectedly.

To finish off the day, we wrapped things up with some pool games, more conversations and plenty of laughs together. Days like this are such a great reminder that meaningful community participation is not just about activities, but also about building confidence, friendships, independence and shared experiences.
