Social Group Fire Brigade Outing

Our social group had an incredible opportunity to visit the Arcadia Rural Fire Brigade for a private tour with former captain Mike!

It was such a great experience for the group to get a behind the scenes look at what firefighters do and learn more about the important role they play in our community. We were shown through the station, explored the firefighter gear, and got a full tour of the different compartments and equipment stored on each fire truck.

The group also had the chance to try out some of the equipment, including the infrared camera, and ask plenty of questions along the way. One of the highlights was when Mike drove the truck out the front so everyone could climb inside and see how everything works from the cab. Including the radios, monitors, and even the controls used when responding to calls.

To top it off, Isaac got the chance to spray water from one of the fire hoses from the truck, which was a huge highlight!

A big thank you to Mike for taking the time to show us around, answer every question, and share so much knowledge. It was a really engaging and eye opening experience for everyone involved!
