Social Group Chinese Garden of Friendship
A day out exploring Sydney city together!
This week our social group jumped on the train into the city together, enjoying plenty of great conversations on the journey there and back. Travelling together is always a great opportunity to build confidence using public transport while catching up with friends.

Our first stop was the beautiful Chinese Garden of Friendship. We spent the morning exploring the peaceful gardens, taking in the incredible architecture, bonsai trees, waterfalls, koi ponds and all the amazing wildlife. Along the way we spotted colourful koi fish, curious lizards, a little turtle that popped up to say hello, and even discovered a painted kindness rock that someone had hidden for others to find!

We also arrived at the perfect time for the daily koi feeding. Everyone had the chance to feed the fish, with plenty of lizards and our little turtle joining in for lunch too. It was definitely one of the highlights of the day!

After exploring the gardens, we walked into the city for some well earned burgers before spending the afternoon browsing the shops. The LEGO Store was a favourite stop, with some incredible displays on show. Isaac loved checking out all the special LEGO builds, while Massimo was especially excited to see the brand new Pokémon LEGO release. Something for everyone

Days like these are about so much more than visiting new places. They’re opportunities to strengthen friendships, build independence, practise travel skills, explore shared interests, and create lasting memories together. We wrapped up the day by catching the train home together before saying our goodbyes after another fantastic social group outing.
